Oral herpes, often known by cold sores, can not be cured once somebody has it. Oral herpes is common, due to the fact it's easily passed between people. Though there are no magic cures, there's lots of simple ways to help prevent an oral herpes outbreak.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take Calcium and Magnesium in supplemental form together, daily. Calcium and Magnesium both help to keep the body's natural pH balance. This is necessary to help prevent cold sores. Try to take around 1,000 milligrams of both each day with meals.

  2. Step 2

Increase your intake of Beta-Carotene through your diet, or begin to take it in supplemental form. Beta-Carotene helps to strengthen the mucous membrane of the mouth. This helps to prevent cold sore outbreaks.

  3. Step 3

Take Vitamin E in supplemental form or increase your intake through your diet. Vitamin E helps to strengthen the immune system which helps revent cold sores.

  4. Step 4

Take Astralagus in supplemental form daily. Astralagus helps the immune system by strengthening it, it also helps to kill viruses, such as the herpes virus.

  5. Step 5

Eat more yogurt. All yogurts have healthy bacteria in them, and some of them with probiotics can actually help to prevent cold sore outbreaks. Try adding some organic yogurt to your daily diet.
