Follow a Candidiasis Diet

Candida infections can be very painful and irritating. Medications are often prescribed though they are not always necessary. By following a candidiasis diet, you can help to lessen the symptoms of yeast and get rid of the infection naturally. By following a diet that eliminates certain foods and focuses on others, you can reduce the amount of Candida living within your system. Here’s how to follow a candidiasis diet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Consume foods that are low in carbohydrates such as meat, fish, and poultry. On the candidiasis diet, you will also want to be consuming non-starchy vegetables such as leafy greens. Avoid potatoes and other starchy food.

  2. Step 2

Eliminate sugar from your diet. This means avoiding processed and refined sugar as well as carbohydrates. During the first 2 weeks of the candidiasis diet, many people will restrict their carbohydrate intake to less than 30 grams. This will depend on age and overall health of the person however. You may want to consult with your doctor before reducing your levels this much.

  3. Step 3

Eliminate yeast from your diet. This includes breads with yeast, mushrooms, beer, and cheese.

  4. Step 4

Take a strong probiotic to control the yeast and promote the growth of “good” bacteria. You can get this in liquid or tablet form.

  5. Step 5

Take enteric-coated essential oils that have oils such as peppermint and oregano. These and other volatile oils help to prevent the overgrowth of Candida.

  6. Step 6

A candidiasis diet should also include taking garlic supplements. Enteric-coated garlic will make sure that it reaches the intestines without degrading. Take these supplements 2 times per day.

Tips & Warnings
  • The candidiasis diet works for many people but it may take weeks or months to get rid of your infection completely.
