1
Empty your pantry of all food and objects. Look in open grains, cereals, nuts and pet foods for infestations. Look in other open food products as well. Also, inspect unopened food packages, such as bags of rice, for holes. If you see a hole, open the package to see if it is infested. Throw out infested foods.

2
Clean your pantry thoroughly from top to bottom, cleaning up all spilled food and crumbs. When food spills, clean it up.

3
Hang a sticky trap made for pantry moths. It contains a pheromone to attract male moths to the trap, helping to prevent breeding.

4
Store opened foods properly to stop feeding the moths. Fold opened plastic packaging several times, such as the bags found inside cereal boxes, and secure the fold with a binder clip. Store unused opened foods, like rice and pasta, in sealable containers; glass jars with a seal ring work best.
