Step 1
Sign up with movie screening companies (e.g., Film Metro) online. Not only can you get free tickets to screenings, but you can see movies before their wide-release dates. It's cheaper to generate buzz through word-of-than than expensive T.V. and radio advertising. This means free movies for you!
-
Step 2
Show up one to two hours early. Most screenings are overbooked so they get filled to 100% capacity. Bring a magazine, book, or crossword puzzle to pass the time while you wait in line. You may be asked to fill out a comment card after the movie, but that should only take a few minutes.
-
Step 3
Leave the video cameras at home. Due to possible piracy issues, your bags will probably be searched. Just pack light and enjoy the movie! If you're not into screenings, look online for ticket deals. Free movie tickets are often part of perks packages (e.g., stay at a certain hotel, see a movie free).

on 11/18/2009 Great Article! I worked @ a movie theatre when I was a teenager, and the "sneak peek" screenings were always a busy event and alot of times there would be free T-shirts, posters, or other types of token. Fun read - Thanks! 5* rec
