Things You'll Need:
- 6mm beads
- beading wire(22 or 24 gauge)
-
Step 1
Gather the beads you plan to use and decide what the pattern will be. Alternating 2 or 3 color beads and then adding a metallic accent bead will create a nice pattern.
Cut a piece of wire that is 28" to 30" long. A longer wire is easier to work with. -
Step 2
Thread on 8 of the 6mm beads, and then 1 smaller accent bead. Twist the end of the wire around the smaller bead, leaving about 4" of wire loose.
This will secure the beads while you work. -
Step 3
Push the wire back through the first 4 -6mm beads, and pull it tight to form a loop.
Add an accent bead. -
Step 4
Thread on 8 more of the 6mm beads.
Skip the accent bead and push the wire back through the first 4 - 6mm beads.
Pull tightly to form the third loop.
Add another accent bead. -
Step 5
Continue this pattern until you have created 6 loops.
End with one accent bead.
Then add 1 - 6mm bead.
Unwrap the wire from the other end and push the end through the extra 6mm bead. -
Step 6
Push the loose end of the wire from the right side to the left through the extra bead.
Wrap each loose end around the wire on each side of the extra bead.
Wrap it tight and cut the wire.
Use your pliers to mash down the loose ends so the sharp wire end is not sticking out.
