When you have an account on a social networking website, most of the sites will place a banner on your page to indicate to other users whether you are in their geographical network. If you are outside of their area, your profile page will let them know that you are in their extended network. Some, but not all, of the social networking sites will allow you to create your own extended network box banners. If you are in doubt about whether extended network box banners are allowed on your profile, contact the designated team for site support.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit a website, such as Pyzam, Crazy Profile or My Banner Maker. Sites like these will allow you to use their online software to create free extended network box banners for sites like MySpace, Piczo and Friendster.

  2. Step 2

Browse through the available types of extended network box banners. For example, you can choose abstract banners, celebrity banners, holiday banners or sports banners. Choose the box banner that you feel would best represent your personality on your social networking website.

  3. Step 3

Select the option to get the "HTML Code" for the banner. Afterward, you will be able to copy the code.

  4. Step 4

Log into your social networking account using the username and password that you normally use. Click on the option to "Edit" or "Change" your profile. Wording may slightly vary by site.

  5. Step 5

Paste the HTML code that was copied in Step 3 into your "Profile Editor." Be sure to paste the code in the location that was designated when you copied the code.

  6. Step 6

Click on the "Save" or "Publish" option to save the changes that were made to your profile.
