1
Choose an open, unobstructed wall space where the organizer will not interfere with the opening and closing of a door or other daily activities. Inside a closet on the side wall is one option.
-
2
Pick a comfortable height for the organizer so the people who will use it can easily reach the pockets.
-
-
3
Hold the pocket organizer outstretched against the wall at the desired height and make a pencil mark where each of the strings or hangers on the organizer will attach to the wall.
-
4
Insert a nail through the two holes in each picture hanger and hammer the nails into the wall at the pencil marks. Use picture hangers rated to hold the weight of whatever will be stored in the organizer. For example, if the organizer will be used to hold 10 pairs of shoes and the total weight is 30 pounds, then a pair of picture hangers rated at 25 to 30 pounds each will be more than adequate to hold the organizer.
-
5
Tie the strings or loop the wire hangers of the pocket organizer onto the two picture hangers.
