When you want to create a booklet, follow a basic step-by-step process.From blank document to controlling elements of the page, your office software will guide you ease and speed. The following instructions use Microsoft Office Word 2007 edition.

    Creating a Booklet

  1. Step 1

    Open MS Word. Begin with a new document. Select the Page Layout tab at the top of the document. Open the Page Setup dialog box. Open the Multiple Pages drop-down box and select Bookfold.

  2. Step 2

    Change margin sizes in Page Setup. Change margins settings to one-half inch. Add a quarter inch to the Gutter setting so you do not lose text in the fold.

  3. Step 3

    Select the Layout tab in Page Setup. Check Different Odd and Even in the Headers and Footers section. Click OK. Enter any text and graphics. Save.

  4. Step 4

    Print your booklet. If your printer does not support double-sided printing, open Print. Select Manual Duplex, located in the near-upper right corner of the Print dialog box. This allows you to print one side of your booklet pages, turn the printed pages facing down, and print the other side of the pages.
