How to Make Room Fragrance Spray

Everyone wants their home to smell nice, but fragrance sprays and scented candles can be expensive. With a few ingredients and these simple steps, you can create your own home fragrance spray for a fraction of the cost.

Things You'll Need

• 1 mason jar
• 1 spray bottle
• 1 tablespoon vodka
• 45 drops essential oil (e.g., lavender)
• 1/2 cup distilled water

How to Make Room Fragrance Spray

1. Choose an essential oil scent that you really enjoy (for example, lavender) and obtain a bottle of it. Essential oils can be purchased in health food stores, in some pharmacies and online.

2. Mix the oil and vodka in a mason jar. Shake the jar so the oil can dissolve.

3. Add the distilled water to the oil/alcohol mixture. Let it sit for a couple of days, shaking occasionally, to allow the oil scent to fully diffuse into the liquid.

4. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle, and spray it in the room. If the scent is too weak, add a few more drops of oil. If it's too strong, add a bit more water.
