Find your local county clerk's office. The website is www.cclerk.hctx.net.

Go to the office during business hours with your fiancée. Both parties must bring appropriate identification.

The county clerk's office will ask you to fill out paperwork, check your ID, and issue the license.

Tips & Warnings
In Harris County, you must be 18 without parental consent, 16 with parental consent, to be married.
The marriage license must be purchased at least 72 hours (3 days) before--but no more than one month before--the date of the ceremony.
You are not required to take a blood test for a marriage license in the state of Texas.
If one of the couple is unable to be present to obtain the marriage license, you must fill out an Affidavit of Absent Applicant on Application for Marriage License form. This form is available online.
