How to Remove Hard Water Stains From a Black Appliance

Black appliances can lend an edgy look to your kitchen decor. Any units such as dishwashers and stoves, however, are also subject to spills or hard water stains which will show up as white against the black background. Regular scrubbing will not help the problem as the water you are using is probably what caused it in the first place. Fortunately an easy solution is available, and regular maintenance will keep your black appliances sharp looking.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Mix a solution of two parts vinegar and one part mineral water (depending on how many water spots you need to clean).

  2. Step 2

    Apply the solution generously to any spots, and allow it to penetrate for approximately five minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Use the toothbrush or sponge to scrub in circular motions until the spot is removed. Dry thoroughly.

  4. Step 4

    Repeat as often as necessary.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep the leftover solution in a spray bottle to use for regular cleaning.
