Use a protein powder such as an unflavored soy, rice, or soy-whey blend to make an all-purpose baking mix. A great all-purpose baking mix can be made by mixing 1 cup of soy flour, 1/2 cup of soy protein, 3 tablespoons of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt.

Make pancakes, waffles and muffins with a soy-whey blend of protein powder. They will be tender but hold together nicely. Put a few scoops of protein powder in a bowl and slowly add water until the mixture looks like a pancake batter. Cook the pancakes in a non-stick skillet.

Use whey protein along with other ingredients such as gluten or oat flour when making cakes, cookies and other baked goods, as this combination creates a more cake-like texture. Make a chocolate cake by mixing 2 tablespoons of all-purpose baking mix, 1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar-free chocolate syrup, 2 1/2 tablespoons of milk, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Pour the batter into a coffee cup, coated with non-stick cooking spray, and bake in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Remove and cool, or eat it warm.
