Tips & Warnings

  • Badge manufacturers warn against using an abrasive polish, cleaner or brush to clean a badge as they may remove the protective coating and result in a dull and tarnished badge. Only a soft cotton cloth is recommended because a synthetic cloth could scratch the surface of the badge. Metal cleaner is only recommended for older badges with a brass finish as it may damage newer badges with an anodized finish.
