      The manufacturer's suggested use of Betaine hydrochloride recommends that adults take one tablet at the beginning of each meal. However, your health care professional may recommend a different dosage depending on your age, health and pre-existing conditions. One t400mg tablet of Betaine hydrochloride contains the equivalent of 95mg hydrochloric acid.

As stated in the ingredient fact sheet, the 400mg Betaine HCL tablets from PhysioLogics contain: "Cellulose (Plant Origin), Dicalcium Phosphate, Croscarmellose, Silica, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate, Cellulose Coating." This product does not contain and is safe for people with sensitivities to: "yeast, wheat, milk or milk derivatives, lactose, sugar, preservatives, soy, artificial color and artificial flavor." There is less than 5mg of sodium per serving.
