How to Get the Charms in Diablo 2
"Diablo II: Lord of Destruction" is an expansion for the popular PC game "Diablo II" which introduces several new features to the game, including new character classes, monsters and items. One of the additions in "Lord of Destruction" is a type of item called a charm. Charms are special magic items that you hold in your inventory to gain different attribute bonuses. Getting different charms in "Diablo II" requires slaying monsters, as they are dropped randomly by creatures and bosses, but there are ways to increase the chances of finding charms.

1
Play through the game until your character is at least level 40 and you have beaten the game on the normal difficulty mode.
-
2
Restart the game and go to areas with large numbers of monsters and kill them quickly using abilities that deal damage to many enemies at once. Popular areas to farm monsters are the Flayer Jungle in Act 3, any part of Act 4, and any area of Act 5. The sorceress and amazon have good abilities for killing many enemies at long range.
-
-
3
As you kill creatures, pick up any charms and magic items you find.
-
4
Equip any items you find that increase the chances of finding magic items. The more items you equip that increase the chances of finding magic items, the greater the chances that monsters will drop charms. The boss of Act 3, Mephisto, tends to drop items that increase your chances to find magic items.
-
5
Kill the bosses Diablo and Baal repeatedly after your character is powerful enough to kill them quickly. The main bosses of the game have a high chance of dropping many magic items, so you are likely to find some charms by killing them.

Tips & Warnings
Playing online with other players increases the strength of monsters but will also increase the rate of magic item drops, like charms.
The magical effects of charms only work if you are carrying the charms in your inventory. The charm effects do not work if they are in your vault or inside the Horadric Cube, even if the cube is in your inventory.
Charms that only take up a single inventory space are generally the best, since you can have three of them for each of the larger charms that you could use.
