How to Create a Private Chat Room
Creating a private chat room is simple using a website such as Meebo. Meebo allows you to host chat rooms and is a program that can be used to integrate multiple instant messaging programs, including AIM and Yahoo! Messenger. Setting up a Meebo chat is easy and you can follow every change you make using the preview editor. A free Meebo account is required to host a private chat room, but the account allows you to save the custom chat rooms you create.

Go to meebo.com/rooms/create/.

Enter a name for your chat room. Set a size. Choose a color. If everything in the preview box looks acceptable, click "Next."

Create a Meebo ID. This will allow you to modify and moderate the chat rooms you create. Enter the requested information. Click the "Sign Up" button.

Check the email address that you used during registration to verify your account.

Log in to your Meebo account. Select "My Chat Rooms." Select the name of the chat room you created in Step 2. In the "Privacy" tab, enter a password. Click "Create." Give your friends the chat room Web address, also known as a URL, and password.
