Moisture Requirements of Ficus Trees
-
1
Provide a humid, semi-shaded location. Choose a permanent spot for your ficus. They hate to be moved, and container plantings will often wither and drop leaves if their established location is moved.
-
2
Rotate container-planted ficus trees weekly. They will lean toward the light, and growth will be deformed without rotation.
-
-
3
Mist ficus trees with plain, tepid water daily in dry environments. Ficus trees will flourish in a humid environment.
-
4
Fertilize monthly by preparing a very light mixture of organic fertilizer diluted in water, following package instructions.
-
5
Place the fertilizer mixture in a spray bottle and mist the tree thoroughly.

Tips & Warnings
Multiple ficus trees planted together in the same outdoor location or indoor container may be braided together when young and tender. In warm, outdoor locations the trunks quickly grow together, forming one solid trunk.
Do not use flouridated or chlorine-treated water.
