How to Draw Manga Ninja Warriors
Series such as Naruto have popularized the ninja genre of manga. Because of this, many aspiring manga artists would like to learn how to draw manga ninja warriors.

Find a reference picture of a ninja warrior drawn in manga style. Refer to the picture throughout the drawing process.

Sketch a rough draft of the manga ninja warrior on a piece of drawing paper. Start by drawing a circle for the head and adding the jaw lines. Draw the neck by drawing two vertical lines that are attached to the jaw.

Draw smaller circles to represent each major joint. These joints are the shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles. Draw a line to connect each joint.

Sketch in the details such as the limbs, using the lines and circles as reference points, and erase any excess lines. Bear in mind that ninjas typically have a semimuscular build, meaning that they are neither heavy nor thin. They usually carry their weapons on their person. These weapons are usually kunai knives (throwing knives), swords and obscure items such as boomerangs.

Trace over the pencil image with an ink pen. Micron pens are standard for drawing manga or anime and can be found in most art stores. Wait for the ink to dry and then erase any lines from the pencil.

Scan the image into Manga Studio. Go to "File > TWAIN" and click through the prompts. Be sure that the scanner is set to 400 DPI for maximum image quality.

Use tones to fill in the image in Manga Studio. Select the tone that corresponds to each part of the picture. Colors will be a shade of gray--bright colors such as red will be light gray, and dark colors such as brown will be dark gray.
