There are a number of good ways to kill roaches in your home whenever they appear. A roach infestation can cause allergic reactions, spread disease and ruin your supply of food. To kill cockroaches before this happens, it's important to evaluate the home, its residents and how bad the roach problem really is.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Roach Bait
  • Roach Gel
  • Boric Acid
  1. Step 1

Kill roaches by leaving roach bait out for roaches to enter and poison themselves. These small discs can be placed under cabinets, behind appliances and under sinks. When roaches wander into a roach bat disc, they eat poisoned food and die. This is an effective and convenient way to kill roaches.

  2. Step 2

Use a roach killing gel to fill in cracks where roaches are coming into the home. A roach killing gel is a thick poison that can be squirted into crevices in order to keep roaches from coming in and to kill them when they try.

  3. Step 3

Spray poison in outdoor areas where roaches are abundant in order to kill roaches before they get inside the house. Use poisons in the home sparingly because of their effects on the health of everyone in the household. People with children and pets should use caution when using any poisons inside the home.

  4. Step 4

Sprinkle boric acid behind furniture and appliances to kill cockroaches when they walk through the poison. Boric acid is a powder that is harmful to roaches but is far less harmful to humans. It shouldn't be walked through, but it will not create toxic fumes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always ventilate the area when you use poison spray for roach killing.
