Things You'll Need:
- creativity
-
Step 1
Ask everyone to pair up at the dinner table and share one thing about the other person that they're thankful for. This gives each person a feel-good compliment before dinner begins, and will set the tone for the holiday.
-
Step 2
As a change of pace, have everyone write down something they appreciate about their lives or each other. Put them in a Thanksgiving-themed container and read each one off before dinner. The writers can either be announced or remain anonymous. The choice is yours.
-
Step 3
Make a family collage. Draw a cartoon turkey's face and body, but omit the feathers. Have each family member press a finger onto a colored stamp pad and add one "feather" onto the turkey. You can use many different colors if you want to.
