Rum sauce is so simple to make, yet makes the perfect addition to a dessert buffet. Drizzle it over cakes or spoon on top of ice cream. Take a Bundt cake, and cut it into slices. Place it onto a platter with a rum sauce garnish. It's easy to add flavor to the otherwise, ordinary, or use it as a garnishing sauce.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Measure out the 3 simple ingredients:

    * 1 cup of sugar
    * 1/2 cup of water
    * 1/2 cup of rum

  2. Step 2

    Mix the sugar and water together, and cook it over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  3. Step 3

    Allow the mixture to come to a boil, then boil for a full 2 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Remove from heat, and allow the sugar mixture to cool.

  5. Step 5

    Mix in the rum, and stir until well blended.

  6. Step 6

    Use on your sweet treats, or mix with fruit sauces for toppings and garnishes. Serve and enjoy!
