It is generally agreed that vitamins not only increase metabolism, but also increase energy, and enzyme action. They are definitely recommended for weight loss, chronic fatigue and treatment of chronic diseases, particularly disease of the thyroid, which regulates the rate of metabolism.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Increase your intake of Vitamin E. Vitamin E is significant in proper metabolism. It is metabolized and stored in the liver. Lack of Vitamin E is known to result in low thyroid hormone levels, which severely reduces the rate of metabolism, resulting in weight gain.

  2. Step 2

Take Vitamin B 12 supplements. B vitamins help to metabolize protein, fats and carbohydrates. Vitamin B 12 stands out as a primary player in proper metabolism. A host of chronic illnesses such as anemia, and diabetes and other metabolic disorders are attributable to lack of Vitamin B 12. Nursing mothers are particularly at risk for low levels of Vitamin B 12.

  3. Step 3

Replace diet pills with a daily multivitamin supplment. The chemical processes that convert food to energy require vitamins and minerals. Each cell in the body burns food energy to maintain bodily processes. Instead of taking risky diet pills with unknown effects, one can lose weight by eating nutrtious fruits and vegetables. plus a daily multivitamin.
