Things You'll Need:
- Corn Starch
- Water
-
Step 1
Get some corn starch and put a decent amount of it into a cup of water. Mix this until you have a thick paste. Add more starch or water as necessary. You want it to be think and “gooey.”
-
Step 2
Apply the paste to the affected area and leave on for awhile. This has the effect of drawing out the insect poison and may help soothe the area.
-
Step 3
If you think this is tedious and difficult to do outdoors, it isn’t. All you need is a bag full of starch power and a bottle of water, two items that can easily fit into a backpack or as part of your camping gear.

on 11/15/2009 I love natural remedies, and use them whenever I can. This natural remedy for insect bites is great for taking out the sting and itch of a bug bite.
