How to Kill Ground Moles in Tunnels

Moles are a troublesome lawn pest, which can quickly turn your beautiful grass into a maze of dead patches. The moles tunnel beneath your grass, and in preying upon the grubs and insects they eat, they damage the grass above, leading to unsightly trails. As they are subterranean, they can be difficult to remove. However, with anti-mole exterminating gels, which come with built in injection nozzles, you can effectively combat your mole problem.

Things You'll Need:

• 3 ounce anti-mole gel syringe

1. Locate an active tunnel by looking for paths of dead or dying grass. The moles feed on grubs and insects in the roots of the grass, killing it off where the tunnel is.

2. Press the tip of the syringe into the ground over the tunnel, so that it is in the tunnel cavern, near one end of the tunnel.

3. Depress the plunger one-sixth of the way, injecting half an ounce of gel. Some manufacturers mark the plunger to make measurement easy.

4. Move twenty-five feet down the length of the tunnel and repeat Steps 2 and 3.

5. Continue to inject every twenty five feet four more times to use the remainder of the tube.

6. Use more than one tube if needed to inject every twenty five feet.
