Determine and purchase tulle netting yardage: Measure the window's width. Triple this measurement and write it down. This is the adjusted width. Measure the window's length and add 4 inches to this measurement. Double this combined measurement. This is the adjusted length.
-
2
Fold the tulle in half so that the length equals the window length plus the 4 inches. The fold will be the top of the curtain.

-
3
Place the folded tulle on a flat surface such as the floor, and smooth out.
-
4
Measure 1 inch down from the fold and pin a line of pins across the entire width of the tulle to mark. This is the top of the curtain rod casing. A casing is a tunnel or gutter through which the curtain rod slips.
-

On the sewing machine, using a straight stitch, sew across the entire width of the tulle along the line of pins. Remove pins as sewing progresses.
