How to Reset a Page Tile to Artboard in Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator is the dominant vector graphics editing program available today. It can be used to create logos, posters and many other kinds of artwork and can create these in massive sizes. When a piece of artwork in Illustrator spans multiple printed pages, there is an option called "Page Tiling" or "Print Tiling" in CS4, that shows how and where your graphic will be divided page by page. Turning off this feature for further editing is simple.

Instructions

  1. Switching from Page Tile to Artboard View

    • 1

Open Adobe Illustrator and open the file you wish to return to artboard view by selecting "File-> Open" in the control menu.

    • 2

Select "View-> Hide Page Tiling (Hide Print Tiling in CS4)." Your document will return to standard artboard view. If this is not the case, Return to the "View" menu dropdown and select "Show Artboards."

    • 3

Save your document by pressing ctrl + S (command + S on Mac).
