Instructions

Remove everything from the cabinet where the shutoff valves are located underneath the sink. Turn the shutoff valves located at the wall to their off position and open the valves on the faucet (hot and cold knobs or handles) to relieve water pressure.

    • 2

Set a small pan underneath the shutoff valves to catch water that might escape the faucet supply lines when they are removed. Remove the nuts that attach the faucet supply lines to the shutoff valves by turning them in a counterclockwise direction with a wrench or a pair of pliers.

    • 3

Remove the nuts that attach the faucet supply lines to the faucet with a wrench or a pair of pliers. Install the new faucet supply lines by connecting them to the faucet first. Tighten them with your hand and then a wrench to make sure they are secured.

    • 4

Install the new faucet supply lines to the shutoff valves. Tighten them with your hand first and then the wrench to be certain they are tight.

    • 5

Turn the water on at the shutoff valves and check for leaks.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use thread tape if the new supply lines don't have rubber seals in the nuts.

  • Check the new supply lines over the next few days to be certain no leaks developed.

  • Do not leave chemicals removed from under the sink unattended in the presence of children or pets.

  • Do not over tighten the nuts on the faucet supply lines--this will damage the threads and cause the water lines to leak.
