How to Erase All Web Trails on a MacBook

Safari is the default Web browser used on MacBook. Whenever you view a Web page, watch videos or download a file, Safari stores this information so you can have quicker access to it the next time you want to view the same content. It is also a disadvantage because it allows other users to view your web trails and browsing tendencies. At anytime, you can delete your Web trails and browsing tendencies from your MacBook.

      Launch Safari from the dock and click the "History" button on the main menu. Scroll down and click "Clear History." Click "OK" to clear history.

      Click the "Safari" button and click "Preferences." Click the "Security" tab and click the "Show cookies" button. Click "Remove all" to delete saved cookies. Click "Done."

      Click the "Autofill" tab and click "Edit" next to "Other Forms." Click "Remove all" to clear saved email addresses, passwords and contact information. Click "Done."

      Click the "Safari" button on the main menu and click "Empty Cache" Click "OK" to confirm and remove the browser cache.

      Click the "Windows" button on the main menu and click "Downloads" to launch the downloads window. Click "Clear" to removed trails of downloaded content.
