Olefin is a synthetic fiber used frequently in carpets due to its affordability and stain-resistant nature. This means that urine stains are usually not permanent. But if for some reason the urine is difficult to clean up on your Olefin carpet, there are additional tactics you can employ.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Dab the stain, if wet, with a dry rag. Apply as much pressure as possible in order to soak up as much liquid as possible.

  2. Step 2

Spray the carpet shampoo direct onto the stain.

  3. Step 3

Allow the shampoo to sit for as long as directed.

  4. Step 4

Dab dry with a dry, clean cloth, soaking up any excess liquid left by the shampoo.

  5. Step 5

    Vacuum the area once dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not vigorously rub the stain with a rag. The friction from the scrubbing could ruin the olefin fibers.
