How to Change Military Time on a Computer Clock

Altering the computer clock from or to military time is just another way you can customize your PC. If you have recently made a refurbished purchase, the computer clock may be pre-set to someone else's preferences. And you will find changing the clock helpful if you want to toggle back and forth between viewing military time (24-hour format) and civilian time (12-hour, A.M. and P.M. format) for work or leisure. Although time keeps on ticking, it is good to know that you control how you view it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Regarding Step 5, if you do not want a zero to be displayed for hours with single digits, select the single lower case "h" in the hour format for 12-hour/civilian time, or the upper case "H" in the hour format in the 24-hour/military time slot.
