At certain times it may become necessary to breathe in a hose for water to go through it. This may be because of a water backup or an object is restricting the water flow. Blowing water through a hose is not too hard at all. It does not take a special skill or a highly qualified person to handle this task.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hose
  1. Step 1

Clean off the hose. Make sure the hose is clear of any debris.Objects laying on the ground tend to pick up germs, so cleaning it off properly will help prevent germs from the ground being transferred into your mouth. Look around the area where your mouth will be touching to make sure it is clean. Look inside of the hose to clear out any visible dirt and grime.

  2. Step 2

Grab the hose from the end you want the water to be expelled from. If you want the water to come out from the bottom of the hose, hold the opposite end of the hose up to you. Make sure you breathe through the correct end that you want the water to go through, or the water will flow through the other end of the hose.

  3. Step 3

Blow steady breaths. Pick up the hose, take a deep breath, then blow steadily into the water hose entrance. Depending on how fast you want the water to go through hose all depends on how fast or slow you blow through the hose.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have trouble with the water going through the hose, feel the hose to see if you feel any obstruction in it. If you do, try working the object out with your hands. If still unable to get the object out, using a long probe in the hose and try pushing the object out of one of the open ends.
  • Breathing in while your mouth is still on the hose can cause water to enter your mouth unexpectedly resulting in choking.
