How to Install an Inground Basketball Pole
Inground basketball goals keep kids outside, and they will also provide the whole family with entertainment. The basketball goals and kits should be examined for your specific needs or wants. Some goals have a certain height at which they are set, while others are adjustable.

- Shovel
- Basketball goal pole
- Masking tape
- Measuring tape
- 850 pounds concrete mix
- Level

Dig a hole where the basketball goal will be placed. The hole should be 2-feet square and 2 feet deep.

Measure approximately 18 inches from the bottom of the pole, and mark it off using masking tape.

Mix 850 pounds of dry concrete with water. Refer to manufacturer's instructions on the bag for the proper amount of water.

Pour the dry concrete and water mix into the hole. Fill it to approximately 18 inches. Insert the pole into the cement. Use the level to ensure that the pole is centered and straight. Fill the next 6 inches of the hole with cement.

Fill the pole with the concrete mix. Have someone hold the pole in place while doing this. Make sure that the pole is still centered and straight. Allow it to dry for at least 48 hours.
