How to Convert WOW Into a Battlenet Account

World of Warcraft, or WoW, is a popular multiplayer online role-playing game from Blizzard Entertainment. Players assume the roles of fantasy characters as they battle for dominion over the lands of Azeroth, the setting of the original Warcraft video game series. Blizzard's main play servers are located at Battle.net and support their Diablo and Starcraft franchises. All World of Warcraft accounts must be linked to a Battle.net account.

Things You'll Need

• World of Warcraft account
• Valid email

Instructions

1. Visit the Battle.net registration page, linked below, to create a new Battle.net account.

2. Read and agree to the Terms of Service. The terms dictate the details of your Battle.net account and what restrictions exist for its use.

3. Fill out the registration form completely. The information provided here will be used to restore your WOW or other accounts, if they are compromised.

4. Click on the validation link in your email. This activates your Battle.net account and will bring you to your Battle.net home page.

5. Choose "Merge a World of Warcraft Account" from the main account page.

6. Enter your existing WOW account details. Your account will now be converted to Battle.net.

Tips & Warnings

• Remember to login to World of Warcraft with your full email address and Battle.net password once the conversion is complete.
