      Measure the width and height of the patio doors with a measuring tape. Start measuring 3 inches above the first set of windows and measure down to 3 inches below the last set of windows to get the length number, which you will need to purchase curtains. Measure the width of the windows on each door. Add 4 inches to the width numbers. These are the measurements you will use to purchase curtain rods.

      Pick your curtain rods and curtains. There are many different options for curtain rods. You can purchase regular metal curtain rods that will need to be drilled into the door, or cafe rods. If your doors are metal, and you do not want to drill holes in them, you can opt for magnetic curtain rod holders.
