How to Keep a Lower Denture In
When your natural teeth are removed, the bony ridge that supported them may be flattened, leaving little solid support for lower dentures. This, combined with the active movement of your lips, tongue and cheeks, makes it hard to keep your lower dentures in place.

1
Apply a strong denture fixative on the underside of your lower denture before you seat it on your gums.
-
2
Be aware of how you move your lips, gums and tongue; their motion is the most likely way your lower dentures will get knocked out of place.

3
Cut your food into small pieces when you eat; you may find it easier to keep your dentures in place while doing this than to do so while trying to chew large pieces of food. Eating soft foods also makes it easier to keep your dentures firmly in place.

Be open to the idea of having two small titanium implants placed in your lower jaw. The implants can be outfitted with a snap attachment so that the dentures can snap firmly into place. This is commonly thought to be the only really effective solution for loose lower dentures.
