How to Create Your Own Dolphin Stepping Stone
-
1
It is best to prepare the mixture outdoors; if crafting indoors, make sure to lay down towels or newspaper to avoid making a mess. Using a bucket or bowl you don't mind getting dirty, mix the stepping-stone concrete according to the package instructions.
-
2
Pour the concrete mixture into the dolphin stepping-stone mold, making sure it is evenly distributed and at least 2 inches. Gently tap the sides of the mold or the bottom against a hard surface to make sure no air bubbles are trapped inside.

3
If desired, add any decorative stones, beads or pieces of colored glass to the concrete for an extra touch. It is best to do this before the concrete sets completely.
-
4
Set the mold aside, and allow the concrete to dry for at least 24 hours before removing the dolphin stepping stone from the mold.
-
5
Place the dolphin stepping stone in an outdoor garden or walkway.

Tips & Warnings
If you are feeling especially crafty, consider using paint to add a splash of color to your dolphin stepping stone once it's dry. Even better, allow every member of the family to add his or her own crafty touch to make the stone that much more personal.
