The bedroom should be a bit of a sanctuary from the outside world, somewhere that both you and your significant other can drop the weight of everyday stress from your shoulders. Follow these steps to get a romantic bedroom style.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Get rid of the clutter.
It's hard to make bedroom romantic when it's overwhelmed with clutter. Keep it clean in order to keep it romantic.

  2. Step 2

Paint bedroom walls a soothing color.
Choose a paint color that's not too loud, not too bright. A green, blue or even grey is great for unwinding in.

  3. Step 3

Use soft lighting in the corners of the room.
No harsh spotlights or glaring bulbs in a romantic bedroom; instead, opt for soft lighting options. Lamps in the corners of the room work well to provide a soft glow.

  4. Step 4

Choose a bedroom style that's a bit gender ambiguous.

It's unlikely that a man is going to think that an extremely feminine bedroom style is romantic, and vice versa. To get a romantic bedroom, choose decorating ideas and colors that are gender ambiguous.
