Things You'll Need:
- 2 cups coconut milk
- Bowl
- Sauce pan
- Shower cap
- Towel
- Comb
-
Step 1
Place coconut milk in a medium-size sauce pan. Warm it up over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Do not boil.
-
Step 2
Transfer the warmed liquid into a bowl. Test the temperature. Make sure it is warm enough but not too hot. You don’t want to burn your scalp when you apply it on.
-
Step 3
Drape the towel over your shoulder.
-
Step 4
Comb your hair to massage the scalp and to remove any hair tangles.
-
Step 5
Dip your fingers into the bowl. With your moistened fingers, apply the coconut milk into the hair and scalp. Repeat until your hair and scalp is wet.
-
Step 6
Massage your scalp gently using your fingers or a wide-toothed comb. Do this for about 15 minutes.
-
Step 7
Cover your hair with a shower cap for at least an hour.
-
Step 8
Shampoo hair twice to remove the oil, then rinse thoroughly. Let it dry.
