Things You'll Need:
- Orange Paper
- Potpourri Mix
- Netting
- Fall Leaves (real or plastic)
- Brown Ribbon
- Craft Scissors
- Glue or Tape
- String (optional)
-
Step 1
Cut 4 to 6 strips of orange paper about ½ inch wide. Use craft scissors that have a fancy edging to add a little flare to your pumpkin. The fewer strips the more open space for the aroma of the potpourri to get through.
-
Step 2
step instructionsArrange the strips in an asterisk shape. Glue each strip in place one at a time.
-
Step 3
Take your potpourri and arrange in a round shape on top of the netting making it a small enough bunch to fit inside the pumpkin.
-
Step 4
step instructionsGather the potpourri up the potpourri in the netting and tie it off at the end using string or ribbon. Place the bundle in the center of your strips.
-
Step 5
step instructionsNow take both ends of one strip (they should be opposite of each other) and tape or glue the two ends together above the potpourri.
Repeat gluing the strips together until you have sealed in the netting and have formed a pumpkin. -
Step 6
Take a length of brown ribbon and fold over creating a loop.
-
Step 7
Finish off your pumpkin by gluing on some fall colored leaves. As an option, you can put some string in the pumpkin stem (the loop of ribbon) and tie off the ends. Then just hang this fancy smelling Thanksgiving pumpkin up in favorite room.
