Green energy is growing in popularity, and for good reason; it’s safer for the planter, and it makes the energy bill less expensive each month. However, it’s often very expensive to set up. Fortunately there are green energy grants to soften the blow of the initial setup costs. Here’s how to write a green energy grant proposal.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find out who you need to contact for the energy grant; who you need to contact will depend on what state you live in. You will need to address each energy grant proposal specifically to the recipient; don’t make a generic proposal.

  2. Step 2

Use the energy grant proposal to detail what company will be doing the green remodel.

  3. Step 3

Provide a total cost for the green energy remodel; include all expenses for materials and labor. Get a quote from the company you intend to go with and include this in your proposal.

  4. Step 4

Compare the setup expenses to the money that will be saved each month due to the adjustments; you should get a date by which the green remodel will have “paid” for itself.

  5. Step 5

Provide a projected start date for your green energy remodel in your energy grant proposal. Sign and date the proposal and send it out to the appropriate state and government agencies.
