Let’s face it, cellulite is not pretty. There are creams and massagers and a million other doohickeys to help diminish its appearance. Some help, some only help to diminish the thickness of your wallet. One sure way to get rid of cellulite COMPLETELY is to slim down and tone up the problem areas. Creams and massagers can help by moisturizing and stimulating cell growth to improve the overall appearance of your skin making the cellulite not quite as noticeable. If it is real cellulite removal that you want, it’s going to take some work.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6-8 Weeks of Will Power and Dedication
  1. Step 1

Slim down. Stop thinking you can do spot slimming because it has been scientifically proven over and over again that you can’t. Instead focus on all over slimming. Lets say you are 40 pounds overweight, you don’t have to lose all 40 to reduce cellulite just losing 10-15 will make a HUGE difference. Don’t believe me? Prove it to yourself. Take before and after pictures.

  2. Step 2

Tone up. As you watch your caloric intake to slim down you should also work on toning. While spot weight loss is not possible, target toning is. Focus your attention on the most cellulite prone areas. Do the following exercises as often as possible with a goal of at least three times a day for 5-10 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Do specific cellulite exercises to target your personal problem areas. One of the easiest and most effective is to lie on your back and raise your legs to create a right angle. Or better described as a letter “L”. From this position slowly open your legs to create a perfect letter “V”. Than slowly close your legs to return to the first “L” position. Moving slowly will help you keep better form and therefore get better results. This exercise will tone your inner and outer thighs.

  4. Step 4

Focus on your bottom. To tone up your rear view use one or both of these bun toning moves. Start with the “Donkey Kick” which is exactly as it sounds. Place your hands on a counter, table or wall while leaning forward slightly. Than slowly kick first one leg back and then the other. To keep good form move slowly and focus on keeping your foot flat and “push” the bottom of your foot towards the ceiling.

  5. Step 5

Do this last bun exercise as a cellulite blaster. It will tone your bottom as well as the problematic backs of your thighs all at once. With your feet shoulder length apart stand with your back against a wall and “sit” down. When you are in a position that would be the same as if you were sitting in a chair you have sat down far enough. Hold this pose for as long as you can.

  6. Step 6

Between losing 10-15 pounds and using these targeted cellulite exercises you CAN get rid of your cellulite without surgery or thousand dollar massages. Creams may help reduce the appearance but only true fat loss and toning can get rid of cellulite entirely. It should also be noted that you don’t have to be overweight to have cellulite. If you are slim but still have trouble with cellulite simply focus on toning.

Tips & Warnings
  • All of these exercises can be modified to fit your fitness level. In cellulite exercise 1, bend your knees to make this move easier. In cellulite exercise 2, simply do not kick back as high. In cellulite exercise 3, DO NOT sit deeper than your knees allow you to without pain. If you experience pain in your knees you are sitting too far down for your fitness level.
