How to Put Together a Metal King Size Bed Frame
Putting together a king bed frame is a matter of setting the size to match the size of a king frame. By clamping together the three pieces of a king bed frame, with its sturdy middle support, you can have a great night's sleep without any sagging problems. These frames have six wheels for easy movement. The procedure can be accomplished in less than 30 minutes. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Set the three pieces of the bed frame in their respective spots on the floor where you will position your bed. This will allow you to put the frame together and not have to move it too much when you are done.
-
2
Pull out the four extension pieces on the two side pieces of the frame. These will allow you to connect each side to the middle support bar. The middle support bar should resemble the letter "I" with two wheels for easy bed movement. Make sure the extensions are pulled out all the way. They each should now resemble a letter "C" made of three pieces joined at 90-degree angles. The open sides of the two "C's" should be facing one another.

3
Attach one "C" to the middle section by sliding each of the metal extensions onto the middle section under the clamping device. The clamps are located on each side of the upper and lower middle section arms. Loosely tighten each clamp, as you will want to set the bed and box springs on the frame to ensure a good fit before completely tightening the clamps.
-
4
Place the two box springs onto the frame. (King beds have two twin-sized box springs for support.) If the frame is too small, loosen the clamps and adjust the extensions until the box springs fit. Adjust each side equally. If the frame is too big, adjust each side until the sides of the box spring are snug with the lip of the frame. You want the middle support to be centered on the bed for maximum comfort while sleeping.

5
Reach under the bed and tighten the clamps so that the frame is secure and will not come undone when you move the bed. You can hand-tighten the nuts or use a wrench if they are standard nuts and bolts. If you cannot reach under the bed, remove the box springs and tighten the clamps, taking care to make sure the frame does not move.
