An ionic cleansing footbath helps rid your body of harmful toxins. Many chiropractors offer cleansing footbaths to clients for a fee that is based on 30-minute to 60-minute treatment sessions. If you like to detox often, it is more economical for you to purchase your own footbath system, which is very easy to assemble. However, if you have pre-existing medical conditions, you should consult your doctor to ensure that it is safe to use the system. If you are using a pacemaker or have heart conditions, you should not use a footbath system.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Place a plastic liner inside of the footbath unit.

  2. Step 2

Place the ion generator, the metal plate that comes with the footbath unit, inside the bottom of the unit.

  3. Step 3

Connect the power cord to the metal plate.

  4. Step 4

Place enough lukewarm water inside of the footbath unit to cover both of your feet.

  5. Step 5

Place 1/8 tsp. of salt in the water. The salt will increase conductivity in the water to draw out toxins.

  6. Step 6

Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. Power on the unit and enjoy your footbath. After your footbath, simply turn the unit off, disassemble it, empty the water and remove the plastic liner. You can use a sanitizing solution to sanitize the footbath unit after use.
