How to Install Diablo 2

"Diablo 2" is a strategy-based fantasy computer game released by Blizzard Entertainment. It is the sequel to the popular "Diablo" game released by the same company. Since its release in 2000, "Diablo 2" has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. Players can engage in the game's single-player story mode or play online with others using Blizzard's Battle.net multi-player gaming service. Before you can start playing the game, however, you must first install it on your computer.

      Press the "Power" button on your computer to turn the unit on, if you haven't already.

      Place the "Diablo 2" game disc in your computer's CD-ROM drive. Make sure the side with the label is facing upward and the side with the data is facing downward. Close your CD-ROM drive's disc tray.

      Wait a few seconds for the disc to begin to spin in your CD-ROM drive. As it does, the "Diablo 2" installation utility will automatically appear on screen. Once it does, click "Next" to continue.

      Read the "Terms and Conditions." These are the legal terms you agree to when you install the game. When you're finished reading, click "Next" to continue.

      Choose a directory where the "Diablo 2" game files will be installed on your computer. The default location will work just fine on most computers. Click "Next" to continue.

      Click the "Finish" button to begin the installation process. The files necessary to play "Diablo 2" will be copied from the game disc to the specified directories on your computer. This will take a few minutes to complete.

      Restart your computer to complete the "Diablo 2" installation. Once your computer boots back up you can begin to play the game by double clicking on the icon that was placed on your desktop during installation.
