      Create separate leagues for each age group. Give each league a separate and distinct name.

      Hold tryouts. Provide each player with a number to wear so coaches can scout each player's talents without difficulty.

      Drill the players in catching throwing and hitting. Coaches should rank each player in preparation for a draft to be held at a later date.

      Hold a draft. Have each coach select players from the draft pool (tryout participants). Each team should have a pick in each round of the draft. Choose players in a descending order in round one and ascending order in round two. The team with the last pick in round one will receive the first pick in round two. This will help ensure all teams are fairly matched based on skill level.

      Inform each player of the team that's selected them along with their coaches name. Each player should have access to his coach through telephone or email to discuss any concerns or problems.
