How to Create a Green Giant Meal

Green Giant offers consumers several complete skillet meals which can be easily be prepared in less than 30 minutes, using one pan. The specific directions of each meal may vary slightly, so be sure to carefully read the directions on the bag. Some meals contain rice in a separate bag which should placed in a pot of boiling water for approximately four to five minutes and then served alongside the meal.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Green Giant skillet meal
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 10" skillet
  • Stove
  • Vegetables
  • Fork
  • Shredded cheese
  1. Step 1

    Empty the contents of the Green Giant skillet meal bag into a 10" nonstick skillet. Pour 3/4 cup of water into the skillet.

  2. Step 2

    Set the burner to medium high heat and cook for 9 to 11 minutes. Stir the meal frequently.

  3. Step 3

    If desired, stir in any of the following:

    1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
    1/2 cup chopped fresh broccoli
    8 oz. can drained water chestnuts
    1/2 cup celery

    Cook for an additional five minutes, whether you add these ingredients or not.

  4. Step 4

    Check the vegetables to make sure that they are fully cooked and tender by piercing them with a fork. The fork will slide in easily and the sauce will be bubbly when the skillet meal is finished cooking.

  5. Step 5

    Top the meal with 1/2 cup any type shredded cheese, if you desire.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are using a 12" or larger skillet, increase the water to 1 cup. This will create more sauce in the dish.
  • Skillets without a nonstick finish are not recommended when preparing Green Giant skillet meals.
