How to Use Lemons in Vases

Decorating with simple items helps to create different looks for your home without a large expenditure. Using fresh fruit, such as lemons, in clear glass vases can help to create a different look with each trip to the grocery store. Small additions to the vase can help to finish the look. Additionally, the vases can be used as centerpieces at any event to further the theme.

Things You'll Need

• Clear glass vases
• Lemons
• Green ribbon
• Green pebbles

Instructions

1. Add a layer of green pebbles to the bottom of a glass vase. Stack the lemons on top of the pebbles, creating another even layer. Wrap the ribbon around the edge of the vase and tie it into a bow.

2. Fill the vase with water for a different look. Or slice the lemons and allow the slices to float to the top. Add the pebbles at the bottom and the ribbon around the edge to complete the look.

3. Wrap the lemons individually with ribbons to create yet another look. Place the lemons in the vase and sprinkle the pebbles throughout the stacked lemons.

Tips & Warnings

• Use fake lemons to create a permanent look for your decor. Add confetti to the mix to add sparkle to the arrangement.

• Note that the sliced lemons will not last as long as the unsliced lemons. Also be sure to change out the lemons every few days to keep the arrangement from rotting.
