How to Draw Real People Using a Pencil
Drawing can be fun, relaxing, and sometimes rewarding. Creating lifelike drawings is more challenging than creating cartoon images and requires imagination and patience. Face drawing, or portraits, are essential in the process of drawing real people because that is where people look first when viewing art.

1
Draw the head with a circle. The circle should be as close to perfect as possible.
-
2
Create an eye line where the eyes of people looking at your picture will rest. Do this by drawing a curved line horizontally across the circle. Eye lines are usually halfway to three-fourths of the way down the circle. The line gives a three-dimensional look to the drawing.
-
-
3
Draw a line that is vertical to the eye line. This is your guide for your center line. Keep this line at a right angle to the eye line. This is also the balance line for the eyes, nose and sometimes the mouth. Keep the right side of each part of the face on the right and the left side of the face on the left.
-
4
Fill in facial structures such as the chin, cheeks, eye sockets and jawline. The contours are up to you and your imagination. There are no wrong ways to create facial features. Create the nose and ears as well. Sometimes taking digital photos of the detailed parts help you with accuracy.
-
5
Define the face by adding the eyes which, as a general rule, are one eye's width apart. The mouth is midway between the nose and the chin. At this time, add extras such as moles or scars.
-
6
Add the hair. Make your task the hair less difficult by sectioning the hair into two or three parts and then blending it to fit the face. Add hair texture by making various sizes and shapes and blending the drawings until the hair is the style you want.

Tips & Warnings
Use the blending stump to shadow certain parts of the face; use it at the very end of the drawing.
Use light pencil strokes in the beginning in order to erase mistakes cleanly.
Use lighting from the left when drawing details such as face shadows.
Practice on scratch paper before starting a design. This gives you a preliminary sketch idea.

Pencil makes a lot of wonders and it's a very effective tool to use when you want to draw. Although there might be of different kinds but then it makes your work very effective because you can adjust anytime. -

Thank for sharing this. Honestly, you are right that drawing is fun, relaxing but of course it is very challenging. There might be times that if you are not able to get it the 1st time you feel some disappointments but I guess it's part of it. But when you get to draw it perfectly you'll feel proud of it.
