How to Remove Moisture Stains From Furniture
Taking pride in one's home incurs a certain amount of upkeep to keep it looking nice. While many stains that occur from day to day wear and tear are easily removed, others, such as moisture stains present a perplexing problem. If excess moisture comes into to contact with your furniture, there's a good chance you will end up with moisture stains. Dampen the area with a clean damp cloth.

Fold two to three paper towels in half and place them on top of the dampened area.

Press the corners of the paper towels down with something heavy, such as phone books.

Hold a hair dryer on a low setting over the paper towels. The moisture will transfer from the furniture to the towels and take the stain with it. Keep the hair dryer moving back and forth and replace the paper towels if they become too damp before the stain is gone.

Apply mayonnaise to the stained area with a clean cloth.

Rub the mayonnaise into the stain, leaving a thick layer on top.

Allow the mayonnaise to sit on the stain overnight.

Wipe away the mayonnaise with a clean cloth.

Mix cigarette ashes into fresh mayonnaise.

Rub the mayonnaise and ashes into the area with a clean cloth leaving a thick layer on top of the stain.

Wipe away the mayonnaise with a clean cloth.

Polish the furniture with furniture polish and a clean cloth to bring back the shine.
