How to Copy PS2 Games to a CD
Playstation 2 is currently the only sixth-generation console that is still active in the circle of seventh-generation consoles with new games still being released. With backwards compatibility completely absent in the latest Playstation 3 models, you will need a Playstation 2 to enjoy the latest PS2 games. These games are normally found on DVDs, which are delicate storage media that can be damaged if they are frequently used. Copying these games to CDs is essential to have a fully working copy of the game that you can use instead so you don't have to buy another replacement or borrow from a friend.
Things You'll Need
- Computer with Windows operating system
- DVD-ROM drive with CD write capabilities

Insert the PS2 game DVD into the optical drive and click the "Read" button on the left sidebar. After the source information shows up, set the destination to where the game will be copied as this will be used for transferring to the CD. Click the "Write" tab and set the source to the ISO that you created in Step 2. Take out the PS2 DVD game from the drive and replace it with a blank CD. Set the destination to the drive where the CD is located. Leave the profile on "Automatic" as it is the best setting for all disc types. Click the "Write" button on the bottom and write the contents of the ISO to the CD.

Tips & Warnings
In Step 2, if the "ISO image" setting does not work, try setting it to "Automatic" instead.
You will need a modchip for your PS2 if you wish to play these backed-up games.
You can use other software such as Easy Backup Wizard or DVD Wizard PRO to backup your favorite games.
Before performing Step 2, make sure your hard disk has some free space (preferably 5GB) as the ISO will be temporarily copied to your computer. You can delete the ISO after you burn it to CD in Step 3.
